We started off KMD DJ's following the sad passing of a very dearly loved friend, Karis May Darling. She died on April 4th 2011 from Streptoccous A, which can lead to Meningitis. The newly created foundation (http://www.karismaydarlingfoundation.org.uk) was set up by her loving family, and the goal is principally to help underprivileged children achieve their aspirations through performing arts and sport. The foundation would also like to raise awareness of Organ donation and the benefits this can bring. Karis's family donated 5 of her organs which went towards saving lives otherwise with little or no hope.
The foundation takes its inspiration from Karis and the character and kind human being she was.
There have been a number of functions to raise money by the family for the foundation and this lead to requests for parties and fund raising events where a DJ and or entertainer was required. KMD Dj's was therefore born!
50% of all proceeds are given directly to the Foundation.
